Wednesday brings us sporting activity in Owen Sound, Port Elgin & Walkerton.
In Owen Sound tonight, the Attack will host Brandon Hope & the Niagara IceDogs at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre in Ontario Hockey League play.
The Attack are tied with Kitchener for 6th in the Western Conference, in need of a solid stretch of success to entertain any thought of a 3rd or 4th place finish in the Conference.
The opponent tonight, the Niagara IceDogs, are on such a roll.
After starting the year 2 & 13, the IceDogs made two moves, got healthy and have charged up the ladder to sit tied for 5th with Belleville.
For what it’s worth, Owen Sound has an excellent record against the Eastern Conference, 10-5-1 & 1, and certainly need another 2 points tonight.
Game time is 7 pm.
Meanwhile, the Ackert-Solomon Insurance Grey Bruce Major Curling League has games at Port Elgin & Walkerton tonight.
This is make it or break it night for a number of rinks on the playoff bubble.
Speaking of the league playoffs, due to scheduling conflicts, the quarterfinals have been bumped back to February 11th and the Championship Day will be February 15th, all staged at the Walkerton Curling Club
