It’s been a dizzying sequence of days in hockey.
Monday Team Canada won the World Junior Hockey Championship in a truly curious final.
The Canadian entry blew Russia out of the water grabbing a quick 2-0 and relatively fast 5-1 lead, before hanging on for a narrow 5-4 victory.
In the aftermath, I heard one guy proclaim it was one of the greatest World Junior Finals ever, plus another wondered if this was Canada’s greatest Junior team of all time.
Come On !
Next, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the very definition of corporate dysfunction, gassed their coach, Randy Carlyle, yesterday.
This is prophecy fulfilled- Carlyle never had a chance; not with this team, certainly not with this disjointed ownership and management structure.
Last night, the Knights of Meaford, who had their share of tumbles over two years, hosted a very successful event, the annual Greater Metro Junior League All Star Game last night.
And tonight, the Owen Sound Attack continue a 4 game OHL homestand when they host Peterborough at 7 pm
