The Canadian Tire store in Hanover is expanding.
The plans call for a 12,600 square foot expansion.
Store owner Dale Cousins says the project will expand the retail area of the store by almost 40 per cent.
Cousins says the store is currently bursting at the seams, so they decided to expand the east side of the store, where the garden centre currently exists.
The garden centre will be relocated to the south property line.
Cousins adds the project may lead to more jobs.
Hanover Council has approved the Site Plan of the project.
Now Cousins can apply for a building permit.
If all goes as planned, the shovel will hit the ground next Fall.
