The Owen Sound Attack host the Plymouth Whalers tonight in an Ontario Hockey League Western Conference matchup.
The Attack are in one of those bizarre runs where they’ve lost 2 in a row, BUT, have points in their last 4 outings
As the Christmas Break approaches, Owen Sound is a decent win streak out of third place in the Conference and yet, could be in 7th in the blink of an eye. It’s that compact
One quick note pertaining to the game, it’s final night for the Investors Group ” Attack Hunger ” campaign, so please bring a non-perishable food item or donation to the JD McArthur Arena
Game time is 7 pm.
Meanwhile in Chesley & Kincardine tonight, the HJM Insurance & Financial Grey-Bruce Major Curling League has 7 games on the agenda.
Three rinks; Jeff Thomson, Al Hutchinson & Don Bartley all share the lead at 6 & 1 heading to this evening’s action
Thomson, Hutchinson & Bartley are all in action at Chesley tonight at 8 pm, but none of their games are head to head, so it’s possible we could still have a 3 way tie tomorrow.
One other quick curling note before we go, the Zone 11 Men’s Tankard was at the Meaford Curling Club on the weekend.
The Markdale Golf & Curling Club skipped by Trevor Coburn won the ” A ” side Final while the Corey Heggestad rink with the Tippin Brothers won the ” B ” side
Those 2 entries now advance to the Regional Tankard at Gravenhurst January 3rd & 4th
Hockey or curling….have a great Wednesday night.
I’m Fred Wallace
