A man walking 4,000 kilometres to raise funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research is making a stop in Goderich.
Bob Facca — also known as “Grandpa Bob” — started out from Quebec City in May and hopes to arrive in Winnipeg in December.
His aim is to raise as much as he can to cure Duchenne, which is a progressive genetic disorder that gradually weakens the muscles.
Facca’s walk is called “Grandpa Bob’s Walk for Louie”.
Louie is Facca’s grandson who suffers from Duchenne.
Facca was in Grand Bend on Saturday and will spend the next two days in Goderich.
He also plans stops in Southampton next Sunday and Owen Sound on August 19th.
