The Owen Sound Quantum Properties NorthStars open their Ontario Senior Lacrosse Playoff Series tonight in Oakville against the Titans.
Any playoff game is important, but because Game 1 in any series is a tone setter, it takes on a heightened value.
Furthermore, in a best of 3 series, Game 1 becomes even more significant as the winner is half way home and the loser, quickly, is on the brink of elimination.
So the NorthStars who may have a bit of momentum after coming off a tight 5-2 win at home over the regular season champion Ennismore James Gang head off to Oakville tonight for the opener.
The turnaround here is a sharp one.
Following Game 1 tonight at Oakville, the same two clubs are back in Owen Sound tomorrow night for Game 2 which is a 7 pm start Saturday evening at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.
If the NorthStars & Titans split ? Well, Game 3 would be Sunday night back in Oakville.
That’s tight, and presents all the more verification that the opening game tonight is vital for both the Quantum Properties NorthStars & the Titans.
