Hockey fans have a lot to take in with both the NHL Conference Finals & the Memorial Cup approaching their climax.
In London tonight, Val-d’Or faces Edmonton in the Memorial Cup semifinal.
The winner tonight advances to go against the Guelph Storm.
If the Memorial Cup was a best of 7, Guelph’s depth would be a significant factor.
However, the Memorial Cup is a one game shot and the Storm have lost playoff games to Plymouth, London, Erie & North Bay, just once mind you, but still, in a one game showdown, sometimes anything can happen.
( The Attack beat Guelph 3 times this season- twice at Guelph, but I doubt the Storm will underestimate their opponent in the Memorial Cup Final )
Meanwhile, this weekend, both Owen Sound Lacrosse teams are in action on back to back days.
The Junior Garb & Gear NorthStars are at home to St Catharines tomorrow night & home to Brampton on Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Quantum Properties Senior NorthStars are at Oakville tomorrow night and then play their home opener Sunday night against the defending Presidents Cup Champion St Catharines Saints.
