Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire “, brought to you by Hal Wright Chevrolet-Cadillac-GMC-Buick on the Sunset Strip in Owen Sound.
I don’t often do restaurant reviews in this segment, but today I want to offer a glowing report on the BlueLine Diner……………….in Niagara Falls
The BlueLine Diner is located at 4424 Montrose Road is owned and operated by former NHL great Marcel Dionne.
I’ve met Dionne in these parts at charity golf events at Stone Tree and Chippewa, but this was my first visit to his eating establishment.
First of all, trust me, you won’t go hungry. The food is good and it’s plentiful.
But what heightens the experience is when the jewel of the LA Kings Triple Crown Line makes an appearance.
From out of the kitchen, Marcel Dionne enters and stops to talk at every table.
Not small talk. Not p.r. or salesmanship. This is very genuine and he’s got the ability to make everyone feel like they’ve known him forever.
On the outer sides of the eating establishment are several huge rooms packed with memorabilia and novelty items, something of interest for all ages.
Some of the memorabilia is personal for Dionne, but the collection is terrific and if you’re any kind of a hockey fan, you’ll leave the BlueLine Diner feeling good for a variety of reasons.
I’m Fred Wallace
