All the best to those of you hunting eggs, playing in the SMHLPA Oldtimers Tournament or going to the giant field party on the West side tomorrow night.
For the hockey fan, this is a terrific weekend.
As we mentioned yesterday, the OHL Conference Finals begin this weekend with Erie at Guelph tonight & tomorrow in the West & the Eastern Final commencing tomorrow in Oshawa with the Generals hosting North Bay.
Guelph & Oshawa are the respective # 1 seeds, we’ll see if those rankings hold.
In Owen Sound, all is quiet, no idle, just quiet on a couple of fronts.
And in the NHL, the playoffs started last night with Montreal winning in overtime @ Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh winning a back & forth game with Columbus & Anaheim nearly blowing a 4-0 lead to shade Dallas in the opener.
Tonight, there are 4 more playoff openers and we’re off for the next two months of Stanley Cup play.
