Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire “, brought to you by Hal Wright Chevrolet-Cadillac-GMC-Buick on the Sunset Strip in Owen Sound.
How’s your week been ?
Have you been as busy as Attack General Manager Dale DeGray ?
Here’s a list of the things I KNOW he’s dealing with, let alone the items that are for the moment sealed.
First, Victor Mete.
The Attack’s first pick in the OHL Priority Selection, through his advisors, has indicated he’s not intending to play for the Attack or in the OHL next year.
When asked about Mete, the usually upbeat Attack General Manager offered ” no comment “.
Next, both Attack Head Coach Greg Ireland & Assistant Drew Bannister have been offered two year contract extensions.
DeGray states both are extremely professional, good instructors, and keys to having continuity in the organization, so he’s eager to receive positive responses from both.
Furthermore, a 3 year contract has been offered to the Athletic Therapist Andy Brown.
If you watch Brown for 30 seconds you quickly realize the players and the team are in good hands
And finally, if Dale DeGray is offering contracts, therefore it stands to reason he has a new extension himself.
On that issue, DeGray is somewhat reluctant to offer an expanded comment, other than to say he’s in talks, and far enough along in those talks that he’s comfortable enough offering contract extensions to staff members.
Have a great weekend
I’m Fred Wallace
