It’s your chance to get a taste of Owen Sound local cuisine!
Tourism and Marketing Co-Ordinator with the City, Paulette Peirol, tells Bayshore Broadcasting News ‘Winterlicious’ takes place until March 16th.
Residents can choose from eight restaurants offering ‘Winterlicious’ dinner specials and three-course meals for $25 to $30, plus a chance to win a gourmet food basket.
According to Peirol, the Rocky Raccoon Cafe, Nathaniel’s, Jazzmyn’s, Tuscany’s Pub, Norma Jean’s, Legacy Ridge Golf Course, the Sweetwater Restaurant at Cobble Beach and Shorty’s Grill are participating.
Peirol says the aim is to “shake off the winter blues” and get residents to enjoy a wonderful evening on the town.
You can pair your ‘Winterlicious’ meal with some great entertainment, such as an OHL Attack game, a show at the Roxy Theatre or with the Reel Film Festival.
This year’s slogan is, “Take the Chill Off Winter.”
Owen Sound’s tourism office launched ‘Winterlicious’ in 2013 to promote local restaurants during a traditionally slower season.
The challenge this year, according to Peirol, is to incorporate locally sourced foods.
