Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire “, brought to you by Hal Wright Chevrolet-Cadillac-GMC-Buick on the Sunset Strip in Owen Sound.
It’s Valentine’s Day and a holiday weekend all rolled into one.
The Owen Sound Attack rolled out last night for the bulk of a four game road stretch.
The first three games of the sequence will be in Eastern Ontario, tonight in Kingston, tomorrow night in Belleville and then Monday afternoon, Family Day in Ottawa.
The Attack also will be at Kitchener next Friday night before retuning home to honor special guest Andrew Brunette on February 22nd prior to the home game against Saginaw.
The Knights of Meaford conclude their first ever regular season on the road this weekend, which is fitting considering they played their first 7 games of their expansion season on the road.
Saturday night at Gravenhurst against the South Muskoka Shield and then Sunday night in Bradford against the Rattlers.
Keep in mind, the Knights come home for a one game elimination playoff contest Monday afternoon against the Shelburne Red Wings.
Game time Family Day is 3:30 pm at the Meaford & St Vincent Community Centre.
And while we’re talking about Family Day, Owen Sound Minor Hockey Group has their 4th annual Josh Olynyk Memorial 4 on 4 Road Hockey Tournament Monday on the parking lot at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.
Wherever you are, have a great Valentine’s Day & Family Day weekend.
I’m Fred Wallace
