The Super Bowl is set
The NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks will face the Denver Broncos, the AFC title wiiners, on February 2nd at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The Seahawks rallied to beat San Francisco 23-17 in the NFC Final while the Broncos were 26-16 winners over New England to claim the AFC crown.
With the Championship game slotted for New Jersey and with the weather forecast suggesting cool, if not cold, conditions, the prevailing wisdom is that Seattle, a running team with a solid defensive scheme would be the favorite.
I always lean to the experts at this time of the year; the bookmakers, but even they’ve had some waffling in the first two days of the leadup.
The immediate line had the Seahawks by 2, but quick & heavy bets on Denver shifted the line to favor Denver by 1
Heavy bets can shuffle the odds and it’s expected that this Super Bowl will be a betting bonanza with $100 million in wagering on the game the lowest estimate.
A big game with big betting, and a favorite line that has shifted once already indicates the 2014 Super Bowl on Ground Hog Day could be one of the closest matchups ever.
