Conditions are slowly improving from Blizzard 2014.
All Provincial and County roads in Grey County are open — and many roads in Bruce County are beginning to open as well after relentless snowsqualls, flurries and blowing snow over the last three days.
While the conditions may have improved on Wednesday, the biggest delay in opening roads was the fact snow plow operators were impeded by dozens of stranded vehicles, especially in southern Bruce County.
Bruce County Warden John Close tells Bayshore Broadcasting News it is the wost winter storm he has seen years — with snow drifts on roads eight to fourteen feet tall.
Police are urging all motorists to drive with caution as some of the roads are very narrow.
Grey County OPP report between 4 PM on Monday and 8 AM on Wednesday, they received 25 calls for service regarding stranded, and abandoned vehicles.
Five vehicle collisions were investigated resulting in one driver being charged with failing to share half roadway meeting vehicles on Grey Road 2 near concession 10 in Grey Highlands. No injuries were reported.
Two other motorists were charged for driving on a closed road on Highway 10.
Owen Sound Transit service remains suspended Wednesday and the City anticipates the service will be restored on Thursday.
Greyhound Bus Service from Owen Sound is cancelled until 8 AM on Thursday.
The storm forced the closure of all schools in Grey, Bruce, Huron and Perth Counties for another day.
Georgian College in Owen Sound is closed again — and all day and evening classes are cancelled for a third day.
Hundreds of daycares and businesses are closed.
But life is slowly returning to normal — as Heritage Place in Owen Sound for example is opening Wednesday afternoon and the Owen Sound Family Y also opened on Wednesday afternoon.

Hydro One pulled it’s crews off the road on Tuesday, saying it was too dangerous in Grey Bruce to work.
They are back on the job Wednesday, trying to restore power to close to 500 customers in the Paisley, Teeswater, Mount Forest, Amberley and Collingwood areas.
Hydro One had said all electricity should be restored by 6 PM.
Owen Sound garbage and recycling continues on the East Side and Downtown – while others across the region have cancelled their pick-ups.
Georgian Bluffs Garbage Collection is cancelled and not rescheduled — Recycling pickup has been rescheduled to Friday.
Garbage collection in Chatsworth is cancelled.
All Wednesday and Thursday collections for Bruce Area Solid Waste Recycling will be grabbed on the next scheduled collection day.
That includes in Saugeen Shores, Kincardine and Mildmay.
At Pearson airport in Toronto — the flight delays and cancellations are continuing.
The airport declared a ground stop Tuesday morning due to frigid temperatures, which prevented flights from landing for more than eight hours.
With thousands of passengers camped out waiting to finally get a flight, airlines are advising customers to check ahead before going to the airport.
But there are some unique stories in Blizzard 2014.
In Perth County, a snow plow operator rescued a pregnant woman in a stranded vehicle on Perth Line 42 on Tuesday morning.
She had spent the night on the side of the road because of the bad weather conditions.
She is now fine.
And quite a gesture from the McCartney family in Owen Sound.
The family is offering one free laneway clearing to rthe Seniors of Owen Sound after the storm ends.
