Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire “, brought to you by Hal Wright Chevrolet-Cadillac-GMC-Buick on the Sunset Strip in Owen Sound.
At the risk of being mocked, I’ll admit one of my favorite songs in contemporary music is ” Last Friday Night ” by Katy Perry.
I know it’s a tad dated now, and sure, maybe the lyrics don’t send the best message to North American teenagers, but truthfully, I always get caught up in the spirited nature of the runaway fun.
This Friday night, the Owen Sound Attack are at Erie to face the Otters in the opener of the annual doubleheader at what once was the Tullio Arena.
Next Friday night, the Otters are in Owen Sound.
The Friday after that, the Attack are at Oshawa.
Then, in sequence, Friday after Friday; at Guelph, home to Erie again, at London, at Kingston, at Kitchener, at London- again, at Guelph and then at Londfon one more time…and that’s it.
Eleven consecutive Friday nights through the duration of the OHL schedule and Owen Sound will play on every one of them. The Attack will also play every Saturday night for the remainder of the season.
Owen Sound Attack have 30 regular season games remaining; 22 of them Friday & Saturday contests, starting tonight, because as Katy Perry says, it’s Friday Night.
I’m Fred Wallace
