Mid-summer is a sweet time of the year.
Good moments behind you, big days in front of you.
At Sauble Speedway tonight, they’ll conduct an annual mid-summer tradition with the first of two ” Dash for Cash ” Invitational.
Sauble Promoter Jason Thom expects drivers from Varney, Peterborough, Sunset, Barrie and elsewhere around the province to make the trek to the Beach.
And why not ?
One, the invitational format generally leads to highly competitive racing between drivers and teams who seldom compete in the same event at the same track on a weekly basis.
Furthermore, the amount of prize money for the night is more than double the regular purse, with somewhere in the neighborhood of $ 13,000 on the line tonight.
In fact, the winner of the Limited Late Model race will pocket $ 1,200.
Great racing. Big money. And it’s mid-summer, time for a mid-summer highlight at Sauble Speedway, the first ” Dash for Cash “
