Here’s the lay of the land for the weekend;
The Memorial Cup Tournament begins tonight at Saskatoon with the Blades facing the London Knights.
Lacrosse; both of the NorthStar entries are at home.
Tomorrow night, the Senior Quantum Properties NorthStars host defending Champion St Catharines at 7 pm at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore
Quantum Properties are 1 & 2 after 3 straight roadies to start the year.
The following afternoon, the Garb & Gear Junior B NorthStars host Brampton at 2 pm.
Garb & Gear is seeking their first win of the season.
It’s a long weekend which means back to back auto racing cards.
Varney Motor Speedway has 7 pm starts both nights as does Sauble Speedway.
A lot of times you can gauge the season ahead by the opening weekend. We’ll see.
I’ll be at Hockeyville Night in Hanover at the race track tomorrow night.
And looking ahead to Tuesday, a unique all Owen Sound Soccer match in the Premier Division of the York Region Soccer League as Grey Motors United will meet the Strikers.
