One of the beauties of being connected to the Owen Sound Attack is that you lose your identity.
For example, no one ever says, ” hey, Fred, how are you ? ‘
Instead I get questions, a lot of questions, almost of all of which I don’t have an answer for.
For example, the two most frequently asked questions these days are, what are the playoff dates and what kind of lineup will Owen Sound field this weekend ?
I can tell you the answers to both inquiries are linked.
For example, it’s my understanding that the moment the Attack clinch third place in the Western Conference, is the same moment they will likely confirm the first two home dates, being March 21st and March 23rd.
After that, it’s wait and see who the opponent will be before any further dates will be announced.
On the other matter, who plays this weekend for the Attack, the simple answer is that it’s primarily a coaches’ decision, or mostly, but not entirely, with Greg Ireland, Drew Bannister and Daniel Tkaczuk.
There’s no doubt General Manager Dale DeGray will have input and stipulations, the most notable will be the insertion and utilization of the youngest player or players on the roster.
So that’s what we understand as it pertains to playoff dates and who plays in the lead up to the post season for the Attack.
