It is a second straight shutout for the Alliston Hornets.
Mike Campeau got a hat trick plus 2 assists and Tyler Brindle made 22 saves as the 5-time defending Georgian Mid-Ontario champs pounded Midland 7-0 in Game 2 Friday night.
Alliston got off to another great start opening up with 4 goals in the first and 3 more in the second.
Midland got a number of great scoring chances but were unable to put one in.
Nic Archibald, Bobby Sloan, Mark O’Donnell, and Alex Daley added singles for the Hornets.
Marco Colangelo started the game for the Flyers and allowed 4 goals on 11 shots before being replaced by Connor Akins at the start of the second period.
Alliston has outscored Midland 13-0 in the two games of this series and now has a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven set.
Game 3 goes Sunday night in Alliston at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre.
