Larisa Yurkiw of Owen Sound was 28th in the Ladies Downhill in a time of 1 minute 53.69 seconds
Marion Rolland from France was the race winner in 1 minute & 50 seconds
Yurkiw’s time was 3.69 seconds off the winning pace.
In an e-mail to Bayshore Broadcasting, Yurkiw admitted the experience of her first World Championship was dauting and she had hoped for better results.
Yurkiw will be returning home for a week off this week before returning to Europe to conclude her season with a sequence of races.
