Survival skills are being put to the test this weekend in Owen Sound.
Hundreds of scouts from all over — including the U-S — are showcasing their talents at the annual winter camp.
For 50 years now, Scouts have been gathering for the camps and on Saturday at Harrison Park, they will be sawing logs, starting fires, tying knots and building shelters.
It’s a good weekend for the annual event seeing as Owen Sound received over 100 centimetres of snow this past week.
Scouts will also complete a rescue mission today.
For that they will have to build a sled and make stops at various stations while completing different tasks.
The scouts will catch an Owen Sound Attack game on Saturday night before heading back to their tents for the night.
