And are you ready for the return of Major League Curling in Grey Bruce. It too starts in 2 weeks on October 31st.
The Major League’s Fall Meeting was staged Monday night at Paisley with close to 20 people on hand and 15 rinks confirming they’ll compete this year.
The league, which is sponsored this year by Chesley/Tara Mutual Insurance, ideally would like to add one more team for a rounded out field of 16, which is far more easy to schedule than 15.
Any rink interested in filling the void and entering for the year, must apply by Sunday.
Paul Godward Ed Yates and Gerry Schwartz agreed to remain as the executive for the league which, as mentioned, has established Wednesday October 31st as opening night.
There were other discussions Monday night pertaining to Sunday dates to compliment the regular run of Wednesdays and the playoff format and cash payouts were also on the table
But the key factors remain the securing of Chesley-Tara Mutual Insurance as the League sponsor and the opening night of play in Major Curling set for Halloween evening.
