As you tell, I’m struggling today…….
A significant factor in the scenario I’m facing is my attendance at the 50th annual Bob Atkinson Memorial Cross Country Meet staged yesterday at Saugeen Bluffs, near Paisley.
Don’t get me wrong, the event once again, was terrific, but my appreciation for the kids from Bluewater West who competed and the organizers who ran the meet in less than perfect weather conditions is at the highest level.
The 2012 Bob Atkinson Memorial Meet was won by Huron Heights Elementary with 42 points, 5 more than Northport
The Walkerton District Community School Riverhawks finished third with 31 points
From an individual standpoint, the race winners were;
Tyke Girls- Meagan Martin, Hanover Heights
Tyke Boys- Conan Martin, Dawnview
Junior Girls- Jessie Byers, Walkerton District Community School
Junior Boys- Luc Nusselder, Saugeen Central
Challenge Race- Hannah Lewis, Kinghurst
Senior Girls- Jenelle Smeltzer, Ripley
Senior Boys- Sam Nusselder, Saugeen Central
The Bluewater East Meet is being conducted today at Land Forces Central Area Training Centre in Meaford.
I’m taking a pass on that event, because yesterday’s Bluewater West Meet-the 50th annual Bob Atkinson Memorial Meet took its toll.
