With sunny and humid weather in store for the weekend — there will be no cooling off at the Flesherton Pond.
Grey Highlands’ Facilities and Parks Department says water samples taken on Thursday show high levels of bacteria — and it could pose a risk to your health.
Officials say to swim at your own risk.
The warning will be in effect at the Flesherton Pond until sample results show acceptable levels of bacteria, in line with provincial standards.
The Facilities and Parks Department tests municipal public swimming areas weekly.
Sites that demonstrate high levels of bacteria are posted as soon as results are received.
The news comes less than 24 hours after Sauble Beach was posted as unsafe for swimming by the Grey Bruce Health Unit.
