The Bluewater Fastball League, the Owen Sound Men’s League and the Highland Hillsview League all look vibrant and competitive.
Plus, as June approaches the midway point, we’re staring at two major events at Duncan McLellan Park in Junior Fastball.
Over the Canada Day weekend, the Keady Jets will host the Ontario Junior Men’s Elimination Tournament.
The Jets are one of 5 teams from the region who will compete for the right to advance to the National Junior Championship Tournament.
Wiarton, Mildmay, Walkerton and the Owen Sound Brick Brothers Volkswagen Selects are also in the field of 12 teams competing June 29-July 1st
The schedule for the Elimination was released this week. Play starts at 3 pm Friday June 29th and then continues through the weekend.
Among the highlight games will be the undefeated game on the Saturday night at 7 pm and then the Championship Final Sunday afternoon at 2 pm
The top teams from this event, as many as 4 I understand, will earn the right to advance to the Canadian Junior Fastball Championship Tournament which is also at Duncan McLellan Park & hosted by the Brick Brothers Volkswagen Junior Selects August 6th to the 12th.
