This year marks the 114th anniversary for the Grey and Simcoe Foresters Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps.
The Cadets will be celebrating their Annual Review Parade on Tuesday starting at 6:30 PM.
The parade will take place at the Tommy Holmes VC Memorial Armoury in Owen Sound.
Awards will be presented as the Cadets showcase what they’ve achieved this year and partake in a ceremonial march past. All members of the community are welcome to come out.
Lieutenant Graham Jordan says this is an opportunity for the Cadets to give appreciation to the training staff – and for the community to give recognition to the Cadets.
Jordan says the Cadets range from 12 to 18 years old, both male and female.
Jordan adds Cadets teaches leadership skills to young people to benefit the community.
Jordan says next year they’ll be dressing up a little more for the big 115th year celebration.
