Kenny Wallace’s racing resume is extensive, the kind of resume almost any driver, regardless of their age, would want to replicate.
Now in his late 40’s, Wallace remains a busy man on the track in both asphalt and dirt racing, travelling all over North America to compete.
But if you want to talk racing, and you catch him, he’s never too busy to share his thoughts on the sport, primarily because he loves it- deeply.
Sauble Speedway announced earlier this year that Kenny Wallace would be returning for another night of action at their track, again in the Dash for Cash Summer series on Wednesday August 8th.
Wallace competed a year ago in the Dash for Cash and finished with a third place finish, a race he remembers well, almost as if it happened last weekend.
It was suggested in certain circles that maybe there was wounded pride at not winning which prompted him to return.
So I asked him if that was the case.
Not even close.
Kenny Wallace is humble and respectful and knows there are great rivers throughout the continent who get nowhere near the big time but are still capable of doing what’s required to win a race.
Having said that, Kenny Wallace is eager to return to Sauble on August 8th and he admits his goal is to capture a trophy in the Dash for Cash.
I’m Fred Wallace
