A scary scene just outside of Owen Sound as a 30 year old Meaford man fell 25 to 30 meters over the edge at Inglis Falls.
The OPP, EMS and the Intertownship Fire Department responded to the scene around 6:30 AM on Monday.
Intertownship Fire Chief Carl Linthorne says their technical rescue crew had to rapel over the side of the Falls to retrieve the man — who was conscious and alert, but suffering from numerous injuries.
Linthorne says due to technical logistics — it took close to three hours before they could retrieve the man — who was located on an island at the bottom of the water falls.
An Air Ambulance was called to assist and the man was rushed by air ambulance to hospital in London with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The man was hiking with a friend at Inglis Falls when he climbed over the break wall to get a better view of the sun rise.
Police have not released the mans name.
