Doctor Norman Mainville is an Ophthalmologist who will offer clinics and occuloplastic surgery in Hanover.
This is the first time the Hanover and District Hospital has ever had an eye specialist.
Vice President of Patient Care Esther Millar says this means patients and residents will no longer have to travel to the city for eye specialist appointments.
The Hanover Hospital specialist list continues to grow.
Along with the new ophthalmologist clinic — the hospital also offers clinics in pediatrics, orthopaedic, urology, endocrinology as well as ear nose and throat clinics.
Doctor Mainville will share his time between the Hanover and District Hospital and Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound.
