Today we make the turn from Fall sports to Winter sports for the Bluewater Athletic Association.
After a Fall of Boys Volleyball and Girls Basketball, concluding last night with the Girls All Star Basketball games at OSCVI, today we make the transition- the Girls shift to volleyball & the boys shuffle off to basketball.
In Bluewater Boys Basketball today, the games are in the South with the John Diefenbaker Trojans at Walkerton face the Sacred Heart Crusaders while the Kincardine Knights are also at Walkerton to face the WDSS Raiders
Meanwhile, Bluewater North Girls Volleyball is set for West Hill Secondary School today.
The Lady Raiders will compete with the Peninsula Shores Phoenix from Wiarton & Georgian Bay Vikings of Meaford in a 3 school meet.
The Fall term with Girls Basketball, Boys Volleyball, football, cross country, tennis & golf were successful on a variety of levels with a significant number of championship efforts and athletes advancing to OFSAA.
The Winter switcheroo begins today in Walkerton and Owen Sound and we’ll be interested to see which teams and performers travel the path to OFSAA out of the Bluewater Athletic Association.
