The hockey carousel continues to roll at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre with the Greys hosting Kitchener tonight and then the Rec Centre Challenge tomorrow night.
I saw the Greys game Wednesday against Stratford, a 4-2 loss to the Cullitons.
There’s some issues on faceoffs, power plays and turnovers, that could have altered the outcome, but you can’t fault the effort.
Game time tonight is 7:30
Then tomorrow, the Rec Centre Fundraising game goes at 7 pm.
I hope hockey fans of every description will support this game. primarily for the sake of funding of the new centre, but also because I feel there’s a need to support the participants who have been supportive of us.
For example, especially for Attack fans, would we enjoy the opportunity to witness OHL Hockey year after year, let alone that marvellous championship season last year, were it not for the efforts of Paul MacDermid, his brother and their partners ?
I have to admit, I’ve enjoyed the ” Mystery Player ” scenario too, reminding of something funny that happened 15 years ago.
But we’ll save that for another day.
It’s the Greys tonight & the Rec Centre tomorrow.
I’m Fred Wallace
