Let’s jam a bunch of stuff into one session here today.
Most significantly, good luck to the Quantum Properties Woodsmen tonight as they head to St Catharines for Game 6 of the Ontario Senior Lacrosse Championship.
If Owen Sound wins tonight, it would force a 7th and deciding game tomorrow night at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore, But ONLY if the Woodies win tonight.
Best wishes to the Sydenham Sportsmen’s Club who are in the process of setting up for the annual Owen Sound Salmon Spectacular that begins next Friday.
The Hanover-Bentinck-Brant Fair is underway. Among the highlights is All Trot Night tomorrow at Hanover Raceway which includes the annual Walker Memorial Trot.
Are the Owen Sound Attack interested in Daniel Catenacci ?
Do the math & geography.
Owen Sound has a tendency towards Barrie-Newmarket & the York-Simcoe Express program, both in management and in terms of players selected, and Catenacci who wants to depart the Sault Greyhounds may have been the best of the Express in the last five years.
Interested in Catenacci ? Yes. Interested in an auction ? Not at all.
I’m about to jet for a couple of weeks, but I hope I do I see sports fans, ball fans and citizens of every description at the Canadian Men’s Fastball Championship at Duncan McLellan Park which begins August 28th.
Take care.
I’m Fred Wallace
