Kenny Wallace is no relative, but if he was, I’d be tremendously proud.
The NASCAR legend is in the area for the second and final ” Dash for Cash ” tonight at Sauble Speedway.
I spoke to him last week, and the one aspect that came bursting through the phone line was how passionate this guy is; not just about NASCAR, but about racing from the grassroots level to the big time.
Let’s be honest, Kenny Wallace is a big time performer, even a non-race fan like myself knows that, and with full credit to Sauble Speedway, they’ve lured him far from the big time for this one special night.
And that’s what was so appealing about the discussion with Kenny Wallace.
He can’t wait to get on the track tonight.
He can’t wait to compete and, in his mind, shift back to his very racing roots
He can’t wait to meet the fans. Not just his fans, but race fans.
He can’t wait to meet the drivers, many of whom carry aspirations to be NASCAR performers.
And he can’t wait to have fun.
I have no doubt the card tonight and the promotion with Kenny Wallace will be a tremendous success.
Based on the enthusiasm of Kenny Wallace alone, it can’t miss.
Race time is 7 pm at Sauble
I’m Fred Wallace
