It could a short weekend in the Senior Lacrosse playoffs.
It could a long weekend.
But it most certainly will be an active weekend.
The O.L.A. Senior Lacrosse semifinals resume tonight in Owen Sound as the Quantum Properties Woodsmen host the Brooklin Merchants at 8:30 at the J.D. McArthur Arena.
The best of 5 series is tied at 1 win apiece after last weekend, when the Merchants won in Owen Sound, and the Woodsmen responded one night later with a win of their own on the road at Brooklin
The winner tonight will take a 2-1 advantage and have the opportunity to advance to the Ontario Final.
The loser tonight will need a win tomorrow night to bring the series back to Owen Sound for a 5th and deciding game Sunday night at 7 pm.
Meanwhile in the other semifinal, the suddenly vibrant St Catharines Saints are on the verge of eliminating the regular season champions from Norwood.
Norwood won the opening game of the series in overtime, but the Saints rallied with 10-6 & 10-4 victories and have a chance to get to the Championship Series with a win at home tomorrow night.
Long weekend for Senior Lacrosse with at least 3 maybe as many as 5 games to be played in the OLA Semifinals
I’m Fred Wallace
