Both the Owen Sound Bluewater Selects, and the Owen Sound Brick Brothers Volkswagon selects beat teams from Napanee on the opening day of the tournament at Duncan McLellan park.
The Bluewater Selects are “2 and 0” at the tournament after beating Freelton 9-1 and then Napanee North Key Construction 5-2.
The Owen Sound Brick Brothers team is “1 and 0” at the fastball tournament after shutting out Napanee Shoeless Joes 7-0.
The two time defending champs, Brick Brothers scored six runs in the 6th in to run away with the game.
Both Owen Sound clubs are playing Saturday at 5 PM on different diamonds.
Their opponents have not yet been determined.
