The Ontario Hockey League’s Western Conference leading Owen Sound Attack hit the road for 5 straight games beginning tonight at Windsor against the Spitfires.
Actually, the Attack hit the road last night in preparation for the first segment of the trip which will feature games against West division foes tonight, tomorrow night & Saturday night.
This stretch of 5 games will be a huge test for the Owen Sound lads.
Tell me where the weak spot is on this junket.
Tonight at Windsor against the two time defending Memorial Cup Champion Spitfires ?
Tomorrow night at Saginaw against the West Division leading Spirit ?
Saturday at Plymouth against the always tough Whalers ?
Next Wednesday with a divisional match in Erie against the Otters ?
Or a week from tonight when the 5 gamer concludes at St Catharines against the IceDogs, with all those familiar faces ?
There’s no doubt this is a stiff challenge.
But truthfully, Owen Sound has done nothing but meet and generally beat the obstacles placed in front of them dating back to August, so this latest challenge, shouldn’t be overwhelming.
I’m Fred Wallace
