Are you tired of listening to Fred Wallace expose the inadequacies of the Ontario Hockey League schedule in this segment ?
……Too bad.
But if I am to leave this topic, forever, let me leave on this note.
The Owen Sound Attack, as you’re well aware from my incessant crying, played 6 home & home series this year, 2 with Guelph, 2 with Barrie and 1 each with Sarnia & Kitchener.
I’ve pointed out over and over and over, the imblance in which Owen Sound was the visiting team for the front end of the home & home in all 6 cases, thus the Attack had to travel twice as far as the opposition in all 6 cases.
That’s unfair.
I also pointed out how unfair it was that the schedule-maker also gave Owen Sound 2 ” squish ” games plus 1 ” bohica ” game tacked on.
A ” squish ” game is where after you travel and play your home & home opponent on the road, the opposition gets the next night off, while you ” squish ” another game against another opponent in the middle of the home & home.
And what’s a ” bohica ” game, you may ask ?
A ” bohica ” game is exemplified by the last home & home, whereby after playing Guelph on back to back nights, away then home, the Attack then hit the road for an afternoon game the following day, in this case at Brampton
Brutal !!
Tomorrow, we’ll examine the results.
I’m Fred Wallace
