The Super Bowl is set for Sunday in Dallas.
But forget about the game, this annual ” sporting ‘ tradition has long been bypassed by the significance of television, in particular, commercials aired during the Super Bowl
The cost is crazy high, the payoff disputable depending on who you talk to and many times, the spots have more intrigue than the teams and the Championship Game
This year is no different.
When 8 teams were still alive in the hunt to get to Dallas, the first Super Bowl commerical dispatch was released
Toyota edited their commercial about research into head injuries, apparently at the request of the N-F-L, removing footage of a helmet-to-helmet collision.
The N-F-L said the tone of the comparison portrayed football in an unfair manner.
Admit it or not, NFL, concussions are a huge issue in your sport. You too, Hockey.
And of course, the major spotlight fell on a Super Bowl commercial that will not be aired during the Super Bowl, 30 seconds from a Toronto-based adultery website which featured porn star Savanna Samson.
The company, whose slogan is “Life is short. Have an affair” was rejected again by the NFL, for pretty basic and obvious reasons.
Like an NFL player would never get involved in something sordid.
But let’s be honest, by participating in the Super Bowl commercial leadup hoopla and generating that kind of a mini sensation, can’t be bad for the adultery business or that web site.
