The National Football League Playoffs commence this weekend for 8 of the 12 teams advancing to the post season.
In the AFC, the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers have opening round byes.
Meanwhile, the Atlanta Falcons and the Chicago Bears will get the weekend off after they earned a bye through the first round.
The playoff games are split between Saturday & Sunday with an AFC and an NFC match on both days.
Saturday, New Orleans is at Seattle to meet the underdog Seahawks in the N-F-C, while the New York Jets are at Indianapolis to go against the Colts in the A-F-C.
On Sunday in the AFC, the Baltimore Ravens are at Kansas City to meet the Chiefs while the Green Bay Packers visit the Philadelphia Eagles in the N-F-C.
Truthfully, as exemplified by a diminishing bank account, I didn’t do particularly well this year at Point Spread.
But that shouldn’t stop an annual tradition. Like Wiarton Willie never got one wrong !!
So weekend 1 of the playoffs will go to the Saints, the Colts ( barely ), Ravens and Eagles.
Looking further, could it be an all Pennsylvania Super Bowl ?
