I know we haven’t hit Christmas yet.
And New Year’s, while close, is a week away.
Still, always looking to be the leader, I want to look ahead to Family Day and a unique event being conducted by the Owen Sound Minor Hockey Group
The local Minor Hockey Group is conducting the ” 6 Shot Road Hockey Tournament ” on Family Day, which is Monday February 21st at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Center Parking Lot.
The cost for the youngsters for the 4 on 4 road hockey tournament is $ 80 per team, or $ 20 a kid, with all proceeds going to the ” Ice Magic ” Program, which is a marvellous project that introduces under 5’s to fun on ice.
The organizers expect close to 500 youngsters to participate in the event this year, which could feature 10 games at a time taking place in the Bayshore Parking Lot.
The tournament is well supported by Owen Sound Canadian Tire who have provided the nets & by Garb & Gear Source for Sports, and will see all participants will receive a Tee-Shirt, lunch and a Goodie Bag.
