The Better Business Bureau has some advice for the predicted 85 per cent of Canadians who are shopping online this holiday season.
Mid Western BBB President Rick Borski says order your gifts now so they arrive in time.
He says the number one complaint they receive from shoppers after the holiday is that their gift was late arriving.
The Strategic Counsel found that 40 per cent of consumers are not confident they know how to ensure they are buying genuine gifts online.
Borski says be sure to check for simple red alerts like grammatical errors on website’s.
He says look diligently for contact information including business addresses.
And if you have questions about a business, Borski says contact the BBB and they can provide you with detailed information.
When you go to pay online, Borksi suggests you look into their pay pal provider and always look for the Better Business Bureau symbol.
And it may be a simple message, but Borski add’s a deal looks to good to be true, it probably is.
