Police are asking for your help in identifying the human remains of a man discovered near Tobermory almost five years ago.
The OPP’s Criminal Investigation Branch has left the case open since the remains were found on October 8th, 2005 near Dyer’s Bay Road and Highway 6.
The OPP believe the man’s remains had been there for about 1 to 4 years before being discovered.
Police have not ruled out foul play as being the cause of the unidentified man’s death.
Police believe the white man was between 20 and 50 years old, and he wore clothes from the Langley, British Colombia area when he was discovered.
The OPP also a Canada Post jacket and vest along with a hunting knife, shaving kit, camping items and red lens glasses in the same area as the man.
There was no identification found with the man and he was not wearing any unique jewellery — However he had both silver and white fillings.
The man continues to be unidentified despite all the media attention over the last five years.
