It’s back to work for our MPP’s as the Legislature kicks off its fall session in Toronto.
Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP Bill Murdoch says the Conservative will be after the Liberal Government over its excessive spending and taxation habits.
He says the mismanagement of Ontario finances is a real concern not to just the politicians but the public as well.
Murdoch says they plan to pounce on a summer of missteps and policy reversals by the Liberals.
He says some of Premier Dalton McGuinty’s reversals include allowing mixed martial arts fights in Ontario and letting O-L-G to get into online gambling.
The opposition say the Liberal government has grown tired and is floundering in the last year of its second term.
Murdoch also takes exception to claims by Transportation Minister Kathleen Wynne says the Opposition wants to win votes by dividing people just like former Tory premier Mike Harris did.
He says he finds it hard to believe that telling the public the Government is doing a bad job is being compared to the actions of the former Premier.
Murdoch says one of the issues he wants to stay on top of at the Legislature is the status of the proposed new hospital for Markdale.
He believes it still is in the works, but doubts approval for construction will come before the next provincial election next fall.
Murdoch say its his job to make sure the Government does not abandon the new Centre Grey Health Centre project.
As for the Leader of the Party Murdoch says he is fully behind Tim Hudack who is working very hard to raise his profile with the voters across the Province.
