The York Region Soccer League is coming to a regular season climax with both Owen Sound teams set to do battle in games tomorrow night
In the Premier Division, the Owen Sound Grey Motors United squad will be at Collingwood to face the division leaders.
Owen Sound has clinched 2nd place in the division and they do have a shot at first, but admittedly, it’s a remote chance.
In order for Owen Sound to bypass Collingwood for first place, 3 things have to happen;
1- Owen Sound has to beat Collingwood tomorrow night
2- Owen Sound has to win the game by at least 4 goals
& 3- even if Owen Sound wins, and even if the margin of victory is by 4, Owen Sound still has to hope that Collingwood loses their final match with Orillia this week in order for Owen Sound to bypass the leaders and take first.
It’s a long shot.
Game time tomorrow for Grey Motors and Collingwood is 9 pm at Fisher Field.
Meanwhile in Division 1 tomorrow, Muskoka United is in Owen Sound to face the Grey Motors Strikers.
Owen Sound is 2nd to the Newmarket Rangers, trailing by a single victory, but conceivably running out of time as they play their final home game of the regular season tonight
Game time for Grey Motors & Muskoka is 8:30 pm at the Kiwanis Soccer Complex in Owen Sound.
