It’s been a pretty good week, hasn’t it ?
Certainly busy.
The Brick Brothers Volkswagen Junior Selects hit the playoff round today the Canadian Junior Championships in Nova Scotia while the Walkerton Wild have had a very solid run at the Canadian Midget Championships in Stratford.
Keep in mind that next year, both the Ontario Junior Men’s Championship Tournament and the Canadian Men’s Championship Tournaments will be hosted in Owen Sound at Duncan McLellan Park.
Along with the fastball, it’s another Ontario Championship Final appearance for the van Dolder Home Team Woodsmen Lacrosse team.
After that game last night at the Bayshore where the Woodies won 15-8, Owen Sound and Norwood go right back at it again tonight, this time at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
Game 4 will be Sunday night in Owen Sound at 7 pm.
The two Grey Motors Soccer entries both had matches this week and have weekend contests set up.
There’s a bunch of ladies from our region competing at the Investors Group Ontario Senior Championship in Georgetown, Hanover Raceway had another track record established this week and the Chantry Chinook Classic hits the climax weekend.
A busy week is always a good week in sports and life.
Have a great weekend.
I’m Fred Wallace
