It’s another terrific week in Owen Sound Lacrosse.
Of course, the highlight event is the annual Harry Kazarian Memorial Minor Lacrosse Tournament with games at 5 venues, but we’ll save the Kazy until tomorrow.
Sandwiched in and around the Kazarian Tournament are games for the Junior B ProTeam NorthStars and the defending Canadian senior Lacrosse Champion van Dolder Home Team Woodsmen.
The NorthStars have hit the skids in a disappointing sequence that sees them on a 5 game losing streak and winless in their last 6.
Tomorrow, Owen Sound looks to regain their winning form when they travel to Guelph.
Then Saturday, in their final home game of the regular season, the NorthStars host Hamilton.
Because it’s in the heart of the Kazarian Tournament activity, there’s special admission & concession pricing, plus, being Father’s Day Weekend, there’s also a series of great prizes for the men in the audience.
The two time defending back to back President Cup Champion Woodsmen also play twice this weekend.
Saturday, Owen Sound is at Ohsweken for a rematch of last week’s game that went to overtime here.
Then Sunday night, to conclude a great weekend of lacrosse in Owen Sound, the Woodies host the Brooklin Merchants who are just 2 points back of the league leading Woodsmen in the standings, but have played 2 less games.
Minor, Junior B & Senior- plenty of lacrosse this week in and around Owen Sound
I’m Fred Wallace
