Does the Stanley Cup Final end tonight in Philadelphia ?
Or do we have a 7th & deciding game Friday night in Chicago ?
The Blackhawks lead the Flyers 3 games to 2 in what has been an odd series.
Odd in the sense that Philadelphia may have been the better team in 4 of the 5 games, yet the Flyers are on the brink of elimination and unless they score the victory tonight, it’s over.
I think it’s fair to say, outside of the start in Game 5 on Sunday, that Philadelphia was better in Chicago than the Blackhawks were at Philadelphia.
And that should bolster the Flyers resolve, knowing that the home team has been triumphant in every game.
From the Hawks standpoint, they’ll likely cite momentum, or claim their 7-4 victory at the United Center on Sunday was an example of how they’re peaking and have figured the Flyers out.
It hasn’t been a traditional Stanley Cup, but the high scoring games along with the ebb and flow of prominent players has made the 2010 NHL Championship very interesting with Game 6 tonight in Philly
