Kincardine is hosting another “Free Dump Day.”
Although Kincardine council is toying with the idea of scrapping the concept, it’s good to go Saturday at three different sites.
Public Works committee chair Laura Haight says it’s an opportunity to clean up your property after the winter and take out waste for disposal at no charge.
This does not include regular garbage.
Haight says they are accepting e-waste for a Toonie.
You can get rid of old TV’s, computers, and VCR’s just to mention some items for safe disposal.
Workers on site will see if anything’s recyclable and dispose of the rest.
Free Dump Day is in operation in Ward One, former Kincardine Town from 8 AM until Noon; Ward Two, Kincardine Township at the Armow site is 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM and Ward Three, Bruce Township is 8 AM to 11:30 AM.
Haight says they will be accepting yard waste and brush, along with old furniture and other large items at no charge.
Fridges and freezers need to be drained otherwise there will be a charge.
