The third annual Ford Wayne Gretzky Golf Classic is set to be held in Thornbury and Collingwood this summer.
It will be held at the Raven at Lora Bay and the Georgian Bay Club from July 5th to the 11th as part of the Nationwide Golf Tour.
The proceeds from the event will benefit the Wayne Gretzky Foundation — which provides less fortunate youth with the opportunity to play hockey.
But the organizers need your help to make the event a success.
Glen Gretzky — the Executive Director of the Gretzky Foundation — says they need 800 volunteers for the week long tournament.

The Gretzky Classic will provide fans with the opportunity to watch 160 professionals play with amateurs and celebrities in a pro-am style tournament.
Over the previous two years — the tournament hosted by Wayne Gretzky and his family has raised over 75 thousand dollars.
The celebrities and athletes who will take part this year include Charles Barkley, Mike Modano, Mike Keenan, Brett Hull, Grant Fuhr, Matthew Barnaby, Cassie Campbell, Nick Kypreos, Marty McSorley, Darren Pang, Craig Simpson and Joe and Scott Thornton.
Players will participate for one of the largest purses at just over 800 thousand dollars with all four rounds televised live on the golf channel.
