There are 30 non-profit organizations in Meaford who want grant money from Council.
The groups include the Georgian Bay Symphony, Take a Kid Fishing, the Georgian Bay Sailing Club, the Grey Bruce Health Unit and waiving fees for the farmers market.
Director of Corporate Services David Kennedy says Council has granted requests to 25 of the 30 groups.
Kennedy notes the town has decided to hand out almost 28 thousand dollars this year ($27,500).
Kennedy feels Council was generous by handing out so much money this year.
